Mt. Hood looks down on the hamlet of Parkdale and is home to four ski areas, including historic Timberline Lodge, a classic WPA-era mountain lodge, which also happens to offer North America’s longest ski season

and Mt. Hood Meadows of which we are a lodging partner.  Run-off from Mt. Hood’s volcanic slopes enriches our soil, making the Hood River Valley one the largest fruit-growing regions in Oregon with apricots, apples,

blueberries, pears—even wine grapes that make for exceptional vintages.  For those who prefer the indoors, historical wonders can be also be discovered in The Hood River County and Hutson Museum,

The Dalles’ Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Wasco County Historical Museum

A Breakfast to Remember......The Hood River Valley offers a awesome platter of fresh fruits and vegetables.  Enjoy a hearty breakfast, presenting and savoring Northwest delicacies in our dining room or delivered to your room. Though our menu changes with the season you can expect a fresh baked pastry or fruit, blueberry scones, baked apples, or baked ginger pears to start your breakfast followed by an entree of perhaps Broccoli/Mushroom Quiche, Italian Frittata, Orange French Toast, or Apple/Pecan Crepes. Fresh homemade granola, yogurt, and fresh fruit are always available. We serve locally grown, organic foods whenever possible. And of course plenty of coffee, tea, juice.  Enjoy a cup of  steaming hot coffee in the gardens. Step out and sample the fresh plums or raspberries from the patch out in the garden.....A perfect way to start your day!
