Tucked between the snowy slopes of Mt. Hood and the orchards of the Hood River Valley, Mount Hood Parkdale and the Old Parkdale Inn are your basecamps for mountain adventures and small-town charm. Whether you’re chasing powder, cozying up in a charming bed and breakfast, or savoring the local flavors, this little town knows how to balance outdoor thrills with easygoing comfort.
Stay:
Find your home away from home at the Old Parkdale Inn Bed and Breakfast, where warm hospitality meets stunning views. Wake up to crisp mountain air, farm-fresh breakfasts, and maybe even a peek at Mt. Hood glowing pink in the morning light. The Old Parkdale Inn is privately owned, offering the kind of personal touches and insider tips you won’t find at big resorts.
Ski:
Just a short, scenic drive away, Mt. Hood’s legendary ski areas—like Mt. Hood Meadows, Timberline, and Cooper Spur—offer something for every level. Spend your days carving turns through fresh powder or gliding across peaceful cross-country trails. And when the day’s done, head back down the mountain for a drink by the fire or a walk through Parkdale’s quiet streets under a starry sky.
Relax:
After all that adventure, slow the pace. Visit a local winery or cidery, where you can sip a glass while taking in orchard views that stretch to the mountain. Treat yourself to a fine dining in Parkdale and the Hood River Valley. Unwind in the garden with a steaming mug of cocoa and a sweet S’mores Fireside board. Parkdale’s beauty and calm make it easy to do absolutely nothing—and love every minute of it.

Cooper Spur Mountain Resort is a popular ski area located on the slopes of Mt. Hood. It offers a variety of terrain for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The Nordic Center at Cooper Spur Mountain Resort provides 6.5 kilometers of trails for skating, traditional striding and snowshoeing. Steeped in history, Cooper Spur is one of the oldest ski areas in North America!
Timberline Ski Area Timberline is the only ski area in U.S. open ten months of the year. They have 4,540 vertical feet, more than anybody else in the United States. We’re located near the top of an 11,245-foot volcano, Mt. Hood, the tallest mountain in Oregon.
