Comfort and Cleanliness
We’ve always maintained health and sanitation standards provided by our county health department. We’ve implemented extra sanitation protocol in all our guest rooms and common spaces as advised by many health departments, both local and national.
Your comfort, health, and enjoyment are important to us. We ask all guests to be considerate of one another by practicing good hygiene and postponing their visit if they are feeling unwell. Together, we can help create a welcoming, comfortable environment for everyone.
Let’s all be respectful and safe. It takes a village. We appreciate your cooperation, helping to slow the spread of communicable diseases.
Common Areas

- As it’s always been, no guests are allowed in the kitchen. Do let us know if you need something.
Guest Rooms
- Routine daily housekeeping service is now limited
- We encourage less co-mingling in the halls and common spaces.
- Disinfecting of all surfaces, with special attention to high touch items
- Hand sanitizers in all guests rooms
- Keys and all items have been sanitized
Dining
- Breakfast will be served in accordance with all health recommendations. You may choose to dine at our large dining table, in your room or on our patio.
- Restaurants in The Valley are open having reserved patio and dining room service and take out. Please support them: BBQ, Pizza, Brews, Wines and Ciders. Feel free to bring your meal back to the Inn to dine in our gardens or in your room.
Community
- Safe and Responsible Travel: We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate this landscape together
- Travel plans change daily, if not hourly, so we recommend purchasing a travel insurance policy that meets your needs.
- Please remember that there is always some inherent risk in travel as there is in life, but we believe that the rewards are pretty great, so let’s work together to keep everybody safe
- If you or any member of your party are sick or showing symptoms, please stay home.

We’re your home base for exploring and enjoying the Hood River Valley and beyond. After a full day, you’ll love the peace and tranquility of the Old Parkdale Inn. Relax in the gardens, perhaps with your favorite beverage, by the bonfire, roast some s’mores, weather permitting of course.
After serving our guests for 23 wonderful years we are hoping to gently step into retirement. We are immensely grateful for the opportunity to have hosted you all in creating lasting memories. In the meantime, we’re still open and delighted to welcome guests through October. Come enjoy our cozy rooms, beautiful surroundings, and warm hospitality just as you always have. We don’t know exactly what next year will bring, but for now, we promise to continue offering the same care, comfort, and sense of place you’ve come to know and love, just in a way that allows us to balance our love of hospitality with this new chapter of life.

The Hood River Fruit Loop is located in the beautiful Hood River Valley at the foot of majestic Mt. Hood offering you a variety of wines, fruits, vegetables, flowers, ciders, and food. Many outdoor adventures, such as kayaking, windsurfing, skiing, snow boarding, and hiking, await. Mt. Hood Meadows, Cooper Spur Mountain Resort, and Timberline Ski areas are only a short drive away, as is the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood National Forest where trails and wildlife abound.
