Welcome to the Old Parkdale Inn Bed and Breakfast

Old Parkdale Inn Old Parkdale Inn Bed and Breakfast, located in the Hood River Valley, minutes from the Columbia River Gorge and Oregon’s highest peak, Mt Hood. The fertile valley has over 3 million fruit trees: pears, apples, cherries, stone fruit and berries.

Built in 1910 for Charles and Lillian Craven, the inn is located in the foothill valleys of Mt. Hood. Visit historic Timberline Lodge, a classic WPA-era mountain lodge, which offers North America’s longest ski season.

In the 60’s the house was purchased by the McIsaac Family, another pioneering family in the Hood River Valley. And for about 30 years tenants rented a room in the boarding house. It was converted into a bed and breakfast in 1998 and we purchased it in 2003. Our first tasks were to improve curb appeal with an exterior paint job and garden design. A new kitchen, dining room and guest room makeovers transformed the Inn.

We added mini split AC/Heater units to each of our guest rooms and in 2018 we installed EV charging stations made possible by a rebate program through Travel Oregon and Forth Mobility. Durst Energy LLC partnered with Tesla’s destination charging program to access additional resources to support installation. We are part of a joint effort to advance sustainable travel in Oregon.
