Wines to choose from at the Old Parkdale Inn
By: Mary Pellegrini
The award winning wineries of the Columbia Gorge are sharing space with world famous fruit orchards and the wines are becoming just as famous as its fruit. Fast evolving into one of the Northwest’s finest grape-growing and wine making regions, the tasting rooms hold special events including wine tasting, vineyard tours and activities for families and friends.
Steve has put together the diverse variety of wines available to our guests. Enjoy the wines and explore the valley’s family farms, forests and friendly communities, then return to the comfort of the Inn and serenity of the gardens.
The Gorge White House ~ Try their Heritage Pear Wine.
Mt. Hood Winery ~ Come for the wine and stay for the view. 2016 Oregon Winery of the Year!
Waving Tree ~ 12 estate varietals and producing fruit of the highest quality
Cascade Cliffs ~ 20 acre vineyard, situated on a bench one hundred feet above the Columbia River
15 Mile Winery ~ wines produced from estate grown grapes farmed by the family patriarch.
Let us be home base for exploring and enjoying the Hood River Valley and Mt Hood National Forest. After a full day, you’ll love the peace and tranquility of the Old Parkdale Inn. Relax in the gardens, perhaps with a glass of wine from a bottle you picked up at a local winery or our wine cabinet. We can even have a bonfire, roast some s’mores, if you’d like. We now have EV and Tesla Chargers for guest use.
Outdoor adventures such as kayaking, windsurfing, skiing, snow boarding, and hiking await. Mt. Hood Meadows, Cooper Spur Mountain Resort, and Timberline Ski areas are only a short drive away, as is the vast Mt. Hood National Forest where trails and wildlife abound. We partner with Mt Hood Meadows and Timberline Ski Area, offering multi-night packages and access to discounted lift tickets. Stay at the Inn and take advantage of our partnership with Wet Planet Whitewater to receive $10 your raft adventure.
