Vacation in the ‘Cool’ Hood River Valley
By: Mary Pellegrini
While the rest of the country swelters in triple digit temperatures, we here in the Hood River Valley have been kind of enjoying a below average cool spring/summer. I say kinda because it has been cool and a bit drippy. The fruit harvest is about 2 weeks behind schedule so the blueberries and cherries aren’t quite ripe yet but are looking beautiful on the bushes and trees.
Though it warmed up to a lovely 76 degrees yesterday, today should be a bit warmer, the nights are cool. It was only 44 this morning! Our guests from Tennessee last week didn’t mind at all!
