Historic Walking Tours in Hood River Oregon
By: Mary Pellegrini
Historic Walking Tours of Hood River Oregon, presented by the History Museum of Hood River County, will focus on the rich heritage of Hood River Oregon. Tours will be on Monday mornings starting at 11am, taking walkers on a 90 minute stroll through historic Hood River.
Hood River was incorporated in 1895 and became the seat of Hood River County when the county was first established in 1908. The town of Hood River is at the confluence of the Hood River and the Columbia River in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge.
The town of Hood River is about 14 miles north of Parkdale and the Old Parkdale Inn Bed and Breakfast. Takes only about 15 minutes to drive unless, of course, you stop at all the farm stands along the Hood River County Fruit Loop. Lots to do in the Hood River Valley.
