Explore Hood River and the Mt Hood National Forest
By: Mary Pellegrini
We invite you to get out and about in the Hood River Valley, the Mt Hood National Forest or the Columbia River Gorge. Add our 'Explore Hood River' package to your reservation. Today's guests took theirs up to the Cloud Cap Inn on Mt Hood. Imagine relaxing at the 6000' foot elevation, sipping on cider and snacking, all the while looking out over the Hood River Valley with views of Mt Adams, Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens.
We'll put together a lush picnic basket or back pack (both returnable) to take to a nearby lake, a secluded nook in our garden or one of the adventures mentioned in your own copy of Curious Gorge, 100+ adventures in the Gorge
This upsell package is $50 and can only be added if booking multiple nights at the Old Parkdale Inn. We also must have at least 5 days notice.
With the fall comes our Drop Dead Savings! Stay two nights, mid-week from now through November 18th and take 20% off room rates! Visit Sunday through Thursday at the Old Parkdale Inn. As a true bed and breakfast our rates include a hearty breakfast prepared with the very best the Hood River Valley has to offer.
Let us be home base for exploring and enjoying the Hood River Valley and Mt Hood National Forest. After a full day, you’ll love the peace and tranquility of the Old Parkdale Inn. Relax in the gardens, perhaps with a glass of wine from a bottle you picked up at a local winery or our wine cabinet. We can even have a bonfire, roast some s’mores, if you’d like.
Outdoor adventures such as kayaking, windsurfing, skiing, snow boarding, and hiking await. Mt. Hood Meadows, Cooper Spur Mountain Resort, and Timberline Ski areas are only a short drive away, as is the vast Mt. Hood National Forest where trails and wildlife abound. We partner with Timberline Ski Areas allowing us to offer discounted lift vouchers to our guests. Stay at the Inn and take advantage of our partnership with Wet Planet Whitewater to receive $10 your raft adventure.
